A virtual meet and greet style appointment to see if we are the postpartum doula support for you!
In home postpartum support is customized to fit the needs of each family. Research shows that new parents who have support in the early days have an easier transition into their new role. Postpartum doulas prioritize the needs of the birth giver and baby dyad. They also assist with household chores, food prep,etc.
A minimum of 4 hours per shift is required.
A postpartum wellness visit is a single session where we use the time to discuss your birth story, check in on your physical and mental well being, see how your baby's feeding journey/lactation is going, and make a plan to ensure your needs are being met. This also an ideal time to ask questions relating to infant behavior or go over any concerns. Wellness sessions can be done virtually or in person.
Appointment is 1.5-2 hours.
This process involves dehydrating, grinding, and then encapsulating your placenta for consumption during postpartum. The practice is rooted in ancient Chinese medicine, and often has benefits of increased energy, overall well-being, improved mood, and more. It is done respectfully and follows all certified Bloodborne Pathogen protocol. Includes; capsules, and cord keepsake. Salve & Tincture add-on available. All prenatal education classes are done in a one-on-one format with follow up email support if needed. Contact for scheduling.
During a Prenatal Wellness Session we will discuss your thoughts on birth strategies, how your pregnancy is going, postpartum planning, infant feeding options, and more. This is a great time to ask questions about what to expect later in pregnancy, early postpartum, or infant care. Wellness Sessions can be done virtually or in person.
Appointment is 1.5-2 hours.
Formerly Breastfeeding 101, Lactation & Infant Feeding is an in depth class that includes the topics of; anatomy, physiology of lactation, latching and positioning, common challenges, pumping, and how to incorporate the partner into the process. This class is aimed to get you started on a path to success. This one-one prenatal education class can be done virtually or in person. There is also a digital option to this class available for those who prefer to learn independently.
Caring For The Newborn is an interactive, hands on prenatal education class best done in person. We will cover topics such as; diapering, dressing baby, feeding, bathing, and more.
